APPROVING TARIFF FILINGS IN COMPLIANCE WITH COMMISSION ORDER

On July 12, 2007,[1]
the Missouri Public Service Commission issued its Report and Order in this
matter. In the Report and Order, the
Commission, inter alia, directed all
Missouri Public Service Commission regulated electric utilities to file
with the Commission revised tariffs to specifically identify compliance with IEEE
1547 as a criterion for approval of customer interconnection of a distributed
generation source.
On July 23, The Empire District electric Company filed its revised tariff sheet bearing an effective date of August 22 (tariff tracking number YE-2008-0052). On July 27, Kansas City Power and Light Company filed its revised tariff sheet bearing an effective date of September 1 (tariff tracking number YE-2008-0065). On July 30, Union Electric Company, d/b/a AmerenUE filed its revised tariff sheets bearing an effective date of August 29 (tariff tracking number YE-2008-0066). Also on July 30, Aquila, Inc. d/b/a Aquila Networks – L&P and Aquila Networks – MPS filed its revised tariff sheets bearing an effective date of August 31 (tariff tracking number YE-2008-0070).
The Commission directed its Staff to file recommendations advising the Commission whether the revised tariff sheets filed by these parties were in compliance with the Commission’s July 12 Report and Order. On August 10, Staff filed its recommendation and verified memorandum. Staff finds the tariff sheets accurately identify compliance with IEEE 1547 as a criterion for approval of customer interconnection of a distributed generation source. Staff finds the tariff sheets to be in compliance with the Commission’s July 12 Report and Order and recommends that the Commission approve the submitted tariffs, or to allow them to go into effect by operation by law on their respective effective dates.

12, 2007 Report and Order, assigned Tariff No. YE-2008-0052, are approved to
become effective on August 22, 2007. The
