The Missouri Public Service Commission regulates investor-owned electric, steam, natural gas, water and sewer and telephone companies. Its mission is to ensure Missouri consumers have access to safe, reliable and reasonably priced utility service while allowing those utility companies under our jurisdiction an opportunity to earn a reasonable return on their investment. The PSC also regulates manufacturers and retail dealers who sell new and used manufactured homes and modular units. The commission was established in 1913. The PSC is comprised of five commissioners, who are appointed by the governor.

JEFFERSON CITY -- An on-the-record proceeding (Case No. AO-2008-0192) will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2008, on the fourth floor of the Governor Office Building at 200 Madison Street in Jefferson City.
The case in which the proceeding will be held was filed by Missouri Public Service Commissioner Jeff Davis to take testimony regarding proposed changes to strengthen the commission's standard of conduct rules and conflict-of-interest policies.
Testimony may be submitted or prefiled in this proceeding. Those wishing to participate are asked to file any prepared statements, comments and presentations with the commission under Case No. AO-2008-0192. Prefiled statements should be submitted by January 3, 2008, to allow participants to review them prior to the proceedings convening on January 7.
The proceedings will be on-the-record, videotaped and web cast via the Internet.
Findings of the proceeding will be compiled into a report to be provided to the General Assembly and the Governor in January.
